ENVIRA compostable packaging

Nature created them, and they will return to nature. We can replace traditional materials from fossil sources with compostable ones. All while using secondary raw materials—we process waste generated during the primary production of products from renewable raw materials.

ENVIRA compostable packaging

Envira® compostable packaging does not cause any environmental burden, is not made from petroleum products, and can be fully composted at the end of its life. Compostable packaging is the solution for the future.

Unlike conventional plastics, which are made from materials obtained from non-renewable sources, such as oil or natural gas, Envira compostable materials are made exclusively from raw materials obtained from fully renewable sources (e.g. corn, potatoes, soy beans).

Advantages of compostable packaging materials

A significant advantage of compostable materials is their ZERO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT at the end of their life cycle.

Unlike conventional plastics, these materials do not contaminate nature with hazardous substances, but RETURN IMPORTANT NUTRIENTS TO THE SOIL (they decompose into biomass, water, and CO2).

Envira compostable plastics have a BETTER APPEARANCE and similar STRENGTH to polyethylene (PE). Among other things, they are also SUITABLE FOR FOOD STORAGE—mould spores appear on food sealed in conventional plastic wrap after just a few hours. This does not happen with breathable compostable materials. Envira packaging also ABSORBS UNPLEASANT ODOURS. It is, therefore, suitable for home BIOWASTE SORTING.

How Envira works

Envira compostable bio-packaging is a NATURAL SOURCE OF FOOD FOR SOIL BACTERIA. Through the natural activity of bacteria and the effects of heat and moisture, Envira bio-packaging GRADUALLY DECOMPOSES into biomass, water, and CO2.

Controlled composting

  •      Ideal heat and moisture conditions
  •      Presence of large amounts of soil bacteria
  •      Quicker decomposition of packaging (3–12 weeks)

How to compost Envira packaging

Envira compostable packaging CAN BE FILLED WITH ALMOST ANY BIOLOGICAL GARDEN OR KITCHEN WASTE (leaves, grass, weeds, sawdust, hay, straw, peelings, nutshells, fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee or tea). Once filled, the bags can be buried in the compost or layered with organic matter (compost) to speed up the decomposition process. Within a FEW WEEKS, Envira compostable packaging will FULLY DECOMPOSE, and the resulting compost can be used to enrich the soil.
