The strong polypropylene backing is coated with a thick layer of high-quality adhesive that ADHERES EXCELLENTLY to any surface, under all conditions, and only needs to be applied once. Range of adhesive tapes

The TYPE OF ADHESIVE USED, the MATERIAL and the DIMENSIONS of the adhesive tape are important factors. And, of course, the COLOUR. 

Type of adhesive

The type of adhesive is a fundamental parameter of adhesive tapes. That is, the common and most frequently used ones where the adhesive carrier is polypropylene. Currently, three basic adhesives are used:

ACRYLIC

It is versatile in terms of application to various materials and reaches maximum strength relatively soon after application. The adhesion of acrylic tapes DEPENDS ON TEMPERATURE.

The ideal application temperature is around 21 °C. At temperatures below 12 °C, adhesion is noticeably lower. And below freezing, it does not stick at all and peels off. Tapes with acrylic adhesive are also the cheapest.

HOT MELT

Hot melt adhesive is SYNTHETIC RUBBER-BASED. Adhesive tapes with this adhesive must be pressed down properly and allowed to activate for a while. 

Immediately after application, they exhibit lower adhesion than acrylic adhesive, but the resulting adhesion achieved after the necessary curing time is higher. Tapes with hot melt adhesive STICK EVEN BELOW FREEZING, but it is not advisable to expose them to UV radiation. 

Hot melt adhesive tapes are most suitable for MACHINE SEALING.

SOLVENT

Solvent adhesive is NATURAL RUBBER-BASED with the addition of other adhesives. Tapes with this adhesive stick immediately after application and have the highest final adhesion, even well below freezing. 

SOLVENT ADHESIVE TAPES ARE THE BEST and are also suitable for demanding applications. 

Adhesive carrier

The main MATERIAL OF THE ADHESIVE TAPE is the adhesive carrier. Its quality determines whether the tape tears and also how the tape can be recycled. The basic carriers of our tapes are POLYPROPYLENE and PAPER. In addition, adhesive tapes made of both materials can be REINFORCED with transverse or longitudinal fibres. 

Adhesive tapes can also have a PVC carrier, which is more resistant to tearing.

PAPER ADHESIVE TAPES have the advantage that they can be recycled together with boxes.

Dimensions of adhesive tapes

The most important dimensions of adhesive tapes are width and length. 

The WIDTH OF ADHESIVE TAPES ranges from 12 to 75 mm. The most common widths are 48 or 50 mm.

ADHESIVE TAPE ROLLS are most commonly 66 or 60 metres long. For manual packaging, there are also tapes 100 metres long or more. Adhesive tapes 990 m long are used for machine sealing.

Colour and printing

The most common colours for adhesive tapes are TRANSPARENT AND BROWN, also known as Havana. Adhesive tapes can also be other colours – white, yellow, red, black, etc.

In recent years, PRINTED ADHESIVE TAPES have become very popular. Printed adhesive tapes serve as a marketing tool and, for example, as protection against unwanted opening of shipments. WE CAN PRINT ANYTHING ON THE TAPES IN UP TO 6 COLOURS. We print either directly on the tape or between the carrier and the adhesive, which prevents the colours from running.

Manual adhesive tape unwinders

Sealing machines help to APPLY ADHESIVE TAPE ACCURATELY AND QUICKLY. And thanks to them, you will never have to search for the end of the tape again. The machine is equipped with a brake for optimal tape unwinding settings.

Two types of machines are available depending on the width of the tape being applied—settings up to 50 mm and up to 75 mm.
