SUNFLEX Floor PRO

REFLEX FILMS UNDER UNDERFLOOR HEATING

When underfloor heating is used, heat is conducted not only towards the heated space, but also in the opposite direction, into the floor. SUNFLEX Floor PRO underfloor heating film reduces heating of the space under the hot water pipe and reflects heat rays back into the living space. This film improves the lateral heat conduction upwards and to the sides, thus enabling an even floor temperature to be achieved. It can be used as an expansion joint if you fold it towards the wall at the corners. SUNFLEX Floor PRO can also be used to insulate water and heating pipes or to insulate air conditioning systems, as well as when applied behind radiators.

Using SUNFLEX Floor PRO will increase the efficiency of underfloor heating by up to 10 % and reduce losses to the floor by up to 20 %.

Installation

The SUNFLEX Floor PRO underlay for underfloor heating is laid reflective side down on the polystyrene base between the reflective layer and the heating pipe. This creates an air gap that promotes reflective effects. The film can easily be cut to the required size with scissors. It also serves as a separation barrier to prevent the concrete layer from flowing between the insulation and creating thermal bridges.

REFLEX FILM UNDER FLOATING AND WOOD FLOORING

Polyethylene foam film is an excellent solution for levelling uneven sub-floors in the case of floating floors, slabs or hardwood strips. The reflective layer reflects heat back to the heated space and significantly reduces heat loss through the floor. The film’s reflective capabilities can also be applied when applying the film behind radiators or when insulating pipes.

Installation

SUNFLEX Foam is laid on a concrete sub-floor with the reflective side up. It can be easily cut with scissors or a knife.

We ensure greater resistance to moisture by taping the joint with adhesive strip. Very good thermal insulation properties are achieved when used under wooden floorboards. In this case, the film is placed under the mounting grid with the reflective layer on top so that an air gap is maintained between the film and the floor. This significantly increases the thermal insulation properties.
