Bubble Films
- A modern, clean, easy to use, pliable, ane flexible material.

- From surface protecting and interleaving to producing protective cushions and void filling.
- It more and more often replaces standard polyethylene films and corrugated board packages and surpasses them in excellent flexibility and mechanical resistance.
Bubble Film Properties
- Superlight - It reduces transport and packaging costs.
- Clear - It allows the visual inspection of the product.
- 100% recyclable.
- Moisture resistant.
- It protects against scratching.
- Easy to use.
- Good insulating properties.
- Flexible and strong.
- Reusable.
- Easy to size by manual tools and sizing machines.
Bubble Film Applications
- Protective cushions for the packaging of a wide range of products.
- Packaging of furniture, porcelains, glassware, electronic components, and spare parts.
- Large bubbles are intended mainly for void filling and light padding for fragile products or medium-heavy and heavier objects. (Laboratory glassware, electronic instruments, and industrial spare parts.)
BUBBLE FILM SPECIFICATION
Bubble Film Characteristics
- Manufactured from low density polyethylene.
- Bubble diameter is 9.5-10.0mm as standard; the height of bubbles varies around 4mm.
- Large bubble diameters are app. 32mm and heights app. 13mm.
- Bubble film is available in rolls as standard.
BUFO PRIMA
- Extra light bubble film designed to protect surface and fill cardboard boxes and packages in less demanding packaging applications
BUFO STANDARD
- Bubble film of fundamental strength, made of clean low density polyethylene. It is used for all common packaging applications, for filling, and for the manufacture of cut-to-size elements and bags.
BUFO 2, BUFO 3, BUFO 4
- Bubble films with bubbles of higher strengths for more demanding applications.
SPECIAL TYPES OF THE BUBBLE FILM
- DOUBLE-LAYER VERSION
Nonstandard bubble films differ from each other in:
- Strength
- Colour (red, green, blue, and yellow)
- Special properties (antistatic, and UV resistant)
- THREE-LAYER VERSIOIN (lamination)
By laminating the bubble film a new three-layer material is produced the mechanical and physical properties of which are further strengthened by the type of the film used for laminating.
For laminating, the following materials are used most often:
- Low density polyethylene - LDPE (film)
- High density polyethylene - HDPE (Microthene)
- Aluminium film
- Metallised PES
- Paper

Coloured and Printed Bubble Film
Coloured and printed bubble film with printing on the base film is a rather technically difficult product. By the customer´s request we provide recycling symbols or the customer´s logo printing. Unprinted coloured films can be manufactured in agreed thicknesses and sizes provided that there are accumulated orders in the quantity technically acceptable.
The currently common colours are red (usually manufactured as antistatic), black, blue, and yellow.
BUBBLE FILM BAGS AND CUT-TO-SIZE ELEMENTS
- Suitable for the packaging of products of the same size (calculators, telephones, and cameras).
- Also larger products (chairs, furniture components) can be packed.
- The sizes of bags are always adapted to the size of the object to be packaged and the customer saves time and costs connected with the preparation of packaging materials as well as with the packaging process.
- Antistatic bubble film can be used for the packaging of static-electricity-sensitive electronic instruments.
Bubble Film Bag Benefits
- Exactly defined packaging costs
- Marked increase in labour productivity
- User friendly package
- Reduction in the consumption of other packaging materials (adhesive tapes, fixing means, and the like)
Bubble Film Cut-To-Size Element Benefits
- Saving of the packaging time
- Easy to control the consumption of the packaging material
- Saving of the packaging material
- Easy to store and handle
BUBBLE ENVELOPES
Bubble film lined envelopes are manufactured with the white paper outer layer (brown option).
Bubble Envelope Benefits
• It protects the content against impact.
• It is light.
• Envelope sealing is solved by the reusable self-adhesive flap.
• Both the paper and the bubble polyethylene are recyclable.
Inside Dimensions of Bubble Envelopes Available (Width x Length in mm)
110x160, 120x210, 150x210, 180x260, 220x260, 220x330, 240x330, 270x360, 300x440, 350x490, and 50x360
HORIZONTAL HAND CUTTER FOR BUBBLE FILMS
- It serves to cut rolls with various bubble films lengths.
- Easy to produce cut-to-size elements of various dimensions with guaranteed smooth edges in both directions.
- Suitable for cutting rolls with films up to 150m long and up to 150cm wide.
- Plastics, paper, and cardboard cutting.
- Cutting in two directions.
- Knife-edge is easily replaceable.
- Three types of knifes for different types of materials to be cut.
